    About this recipe

Classic Cocktail with Soju: with just a few minutes and a few ingredients, making classic cocktails with soju is easier than ever; this one is bittersweet and a bit creamy.

Very Batchable: though I made this coffee cocktail in a single glass, you could easily grab a couple liters of cold brew, one can of condensed milk, and a couple bottles of soju to make a punch bowl's worth for larger gatherings.

Super Easy to Make: with just three common ingredients and made in as many minutes, it doesn’t get much more simple than this when it comes to cocktails with soju!

    Ingredients

Soju: this clear liquor is known generically as Korean vodka, and is available in numerous brands and formats around the world, but no more varied than where the drink originated – in South Korea.

Condensed Milk: you can use any liquid sweetener you prefer if you don't like your coffee with milk; I like to opt for allulose when I want a lower-cal beverage.

Canned Coffee: I like an espresso blend so I can sweeten it with milk, but you can use whatever brand of coffee you most enjoy, even one with milk and sweetener already added.

How to make a soju coffee: step-by-step instructions

Step 1. Put your soju, condensed milk, and coffee in your cup or shaker.

Step 2. Then thoroughly stir or shake the mixture for about 30 seconds, and pour it into your high ball glass over the ice. If you don't have a shaker, add the coffee, condensed milk, and soju to your glass and stir thoroughly with a long-handled spoon or chopstick, then add ice to top & enjoy!

    Recipe notes & tips

Serve it Hot: if you want to switch your twist of whiskey for a twist of soju, you can also add the condensed milk and soju to a hot cup of drip coffee and shake it warm, then serve foamy in your nicest mug (nobody will ever know!).

Vegan Soju Coffee: to make this a vegan-friendly drink, just swap the condensed milk for coconut milk condensed milk!

Using Flavored Soju: if you decide to use a flavored soju rather than plain soju in this cocktail, note that it will make your drink more sweet & flavorful, like a flavored latte. But it will also decrease the alcohol content by about a third, so you’ll probably want to use a little less condensed milk. Strawberry or yuzu would be my picks, of all the soju flavors.

    Other soju cocktails to try

    • watermelon soju
    • strawberry soju cocktail
    • yogurt cocktail
    • soju mojito
    • lemon soju
    • a simple soju bomb
