Who am I?
I lived in the rural Korean town of Yeongwol for 3 years, and now a few years removed from life there and running websites for a living, I decided to start one about South Korea! I go back to visit every chance I get, and I have dozens of friends still living in Korea from all walks of life, so all my info stays up-to-date.
This site is part of my efforts to connect you to the most unique, beautiful, and special parts of Korea, so that you can fall in love with it just as much as I have.
I hope you'll feel right at home here.
A Few Fun Facts
- For 3 years I lived in a small town in the Gangwon province of South Korea, teaching English at three differenent elementary schools, and traveling all around the region while I lived there. I'd traveled to 30+ countries by the time I turned 25!
- I grew up cooking Asian food - a deep love, interest, and influence on the recipes I share here. Additionally, I married into a Hispanic family in a Hispanic neighborhood, so you'll see lots of herbs and spices in my cooking; or as I know them - flavor.
- I love the beach, being out in nature, coffee, and everything artisanal food-related, which really affects what I cover on the site, but sure keeps my kitchen light on!
